Trunkshow Event 15.11.18
We held another Coffee + Collection Trunkshow on the 15th November. Similarly to the previous event, I was in charge of the same roles for the event such as: designing the invite; ensuring the stock was correct; ordering one of everything for the event in every size and getting a courier to collect and deliver the collections and rails.

Zoë Jordan has newly hired a freelance embroiderer to personalise custom designs onto the Edison bomber and Hitchcock Trousers of the core KNITLAB collection. Before this, I used to sew on the initial patches but using the embroidery machine I think makes them look more professional and sturdier. For this event, we had various options of fonts and positions, so providing a personalisation choice. After the event, we have produced an Excel sheet as a guideline for the customer to make it easier on our side. We have 4 fonts, 12 colours and 3 positions- front or right lapel and nape of the neck. However, if the customer does have a particular request we can differ in positions.

The set-up for this event was rather trickier than the first event we held. The location for the event was held in a Georgian house in Notting Hill. The trunkshow was to be held on the 2 floors below the first floor, so it was rather difficult getting the rails down 2 flights of stairs. Instead of taking an hour to set up the day before, we ended up staying over 3 hours to dismantle all 4 rails after running to the shop to buy WD40!

The trunkshow event went really well, it was much bigger and busier this month. Having the option to have products personalised makes buying an item more special. This event was a great way for us to push these designs for gifts for Christmas for the whole family. We took the mens KNITLAB: XY with us for the event, which has helped increase sales for mens.
